Stomping Grounds centers around a Trans woman and her debut drag performance. It was filmed and produced at UNC School of the Arts as Sylvia Massey's Fourth Year Thesis Film. As Costume Designer, I was given a budget of $1000 as well as access to the School of Design & Production costume collection.

Backstage at her bar, The Greenhouse, Kit Kat wears a sheer, voluminous robe on top of her padded undergarments.
As the 'gardener' of The Greenhouse, Kit Kat wears a sunny costume inspired by sunflowers.

These collage boards were the initial concepts which the final costumes began as.
In the initial phases, Rosy Cheeks' character name had been Dakotah, and Kit Kat's name had been Greer. Also, the costumes for characters Bex and Bailey had been initially planned to be mirror-image copies of one another.
